Made by UCLA students, for UCLA students

Every UCLA class. Instantly connected.

Add your courses and BChat drops you into a group chat with everyone in each class. No hunting for GroupMe links, no Discord servers full of bots.

Free for UCLA students. Sign in with your UCLA Google account.

Finding your classmates shouldn't be a side quest

UCLA students mostly use 3rd party platforms to connect with classmates.

What are some of these student messaging apps?

Well, there's GroupMe and Discord, but they both kinda suck.

Yeah, there's always bots for some reason… πŸ€–

So we made BChat: one chat per class, only real UCLA students.

Everything your class chat needs

Built around how UCLA students actually use group chats.

Auto-joined class chats

Pick your courses from the UCLA Schedule of Classes and you're instantly in a chat with everyone else taking them.

Real-time messaging

Replies, emoji reactions, typing indicators, and photo and video sharing, all live.

UCLA students only

Sign in with your UCLA Google account. Everyone in your chats is a verified UCLA student, not a bot.

Safety built in

Block anyone, report messages in two taps, and a moderation team that acts on reports within 24 hours.

Archive finished classes

Quarter's over? Archive old class chats to keep your list clean without losing anything.

Light and dark mode

Warm and easy on the eyes during the day, cozy for late-night problem sets.

Up and running in a minute

Three steps between you and your classmates.

Sign in with UCLA

Use your @g.ucla.edu Google account, the Google version of your @ucla.edu email. No new password to remember.

Add your classes

Search by course, like "CS 35L" or "MATH 31B". BChat knows thousands of UCLA courses each quarter.

Start chatting

You're in a group chat for every class. Ask about homework, find study partners, share notes.

A closer look

Straight from the app.

A class chat you can actually trust

BChat has zero tolerance for harassment, hate, and spam, and it's built so you never have to just put up with it.
